Sponsor is Wright on for Forget Me Not Hospice

Car enthusiast Mike Hall is taking his classic vehicle on a 1,200-mile road trip to raise money for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Mike and his friend and co-driver Alex Bray will leave the hospice at Russell House, Huddersfield, on Friday, September 25 and arrive at the Nurburgring in Germany four days later after a trip through France and Belgium. Alex is founder of Brass Factor, the UK’s top brass band entertainment contest, and Mike, MD at Wrights Marketing, is a sponsor of the competition. Mike, aged 49, said: “We will be driving my Mazda MX-5 Mark 1. I love driving and the car is a lot of fun so I’m sure it’s going to be a great experience. “The car is 25 years old and it’s real back to basics driving,” said Mike, who is a member of the MX-5 Owners’ Club. Mike and Alex will be joined by eight other teams taking part in the Forget Me Not 500 rally. They hope to raise £3,000 for the hospice. “It’s an amazing place and does such a lot of good work,” said Mike. Brass Factor attracts celebrity judges and the most talented brass bands in the region. Last year’s event was a sell-out and this year’s contest will be held at two locations – the Engine Shed, Wetherby on October 31 and Holmfirth Picturedrome on November 14.
